Valley Visions Showcase, hosted by Salida Council for the Arts and held at the Salida SteamPlant Ballroom, is an annual event celebrating the Arkansas River Valley's top established and emerging creative talent. Artwork will be available for purchase, so arrive early to secure that one-of-a-kind piece you've been looking for. A special show by top student artists from Salida schools will be featured in the ballroom balcony. Prior to Friday evening's program, cast your vote for the Peoples' Choice Award. Starting at 6:00 PM winners from the various art categories will be announced, the Mel Strawn Award will be presented and the Salida Council for the Arts' High School senior scholarships will be awarded. Bidding on numerous silent auction items starts Friday and ends Saturday at 3:00 PM. Proceeds from the auction support SCFTA's scholarship and community grant programs. Purchased art work may be picked up Sunday from 3:00 - 4:30 PM.
