VENTURE OUT Femme Backcountry Festival — 5th Annual Celebration!

March 20–22, 2026 | Salida, CO + Monarch Pass

VENTURE OUT is back for its 5th year, bringing women, femmes, transgender, and non-binary adventurers together for a unique, femme-centered backcountry experience. More than just touring terrain, this three-day festival is about connection, empowerment, and building community in the mountains.

Festival Highlights:

Backcountry Exploration: Choose self-guided tours with friends or join small-group guided trips led by experienced backcountry leaders.

Community Fun: Participate in scavenger hunts, relay races, and other interactive games.

Evening Gatherings: Share stories around campfires, enjoy s’mores, attend happy hours, glow dance parties, and raffle giveaways.

Lodging: Stay in Salida to maximize connection, carpooling, and community

Inclusivity & Safety:

Open to women, femmes, transgender, and non-binary individuals

Helmets and avalanche safety gear required

Participants should have some backcountry experience; optional guided tours available for those seeking extra support

The festival honors the traditional lands of the Núu-agha-tʉvʉ-pʉ̱ (Ute) people
